Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems (ARUS) Cluster “Board of Directors and Consultation Meeting” was held at Eskişehir Chamber of Industry (ESO). The consultation meeting held after the Board of Directors was attended by Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız, ESO President Celalettin Kesikbaş, Anadolu University Prof. Dr. Fuat Erdal, Eskişehir Technical University Prof. Dr. Tuncay Döğeroğlu, Eskişehir Osmangazi University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Edizkan and ARUS Board Members attended.
Speaking at the opening of the Consultation Meeting, ESO President Celalettin Kesikbaş stated that the experience to be developed with domestic production in the field of rail systems offers important market opportunities in the international arena and said, “Sectoral collaborations and partnerships will increase our power in this sector. It will provide an advantage in meeting the production potential and experience in our city.”
ARUS Vice President Yiğit Belin gave information about the cluster and said, “As Turkey's first non-regional cluster that covers all of Anatolia, our industrialists producing for rail transportation systems in our country, our supporting institutions and organizations, 'cooperate, join forces and national We continue our work at full speed with the belief of “brand”. We have set ourselves the main goal of producing domestic and national brand rail transportation systems from design to final product in our country and making them a world brand, and we have produced 10 national brands so far. Now we export to 25 countries from Tanzania to Morocco, from Tunisia to Qatar, from Poland to Romania and Thailand. Our annual export has reached 750 million USD. Our target for 2023 is 1 billion USD”.
After the opening speeches, the capabilities and production power of Eskişehir industry at ESO were conveyed to ARUS Members. Afterwards, ESO Academy and company visits were made.
