With the decision published in the Official Gazette at midnight the previous night, an urgent expropriation decision was taken for the Nakkaş - Başakşehir section of the Northern Marmara Motorway project, which is connected with the Kanal Istanbul project. The decision, published with the signature of Erdoğan, included the “Nakkaş – Başakşehir section of the Northern Marmara Highway (including the 3rd Bosphorus Bridge) project” route.
According to the news of Hazal Ocak from Cumhuriyet newspaper, this part of the project starts at Çatalca, Yeşilbayır junction and ends at Başakşehir junction. When the sketch in the decision is examined, it is seen that the road is also connected with the Kanal Istanbul route. The decision, in which the areas to be expropriated are also included in parcels, covers some neighborhoods of Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Başakşehir, Büyükçekmece and Çatalca districts. According to this list, the majority of the land is farmland.
In Sazlıbosna Neighborhood, it seems that many field areas are on the road. On Avcılar, Firuzköy, some residential and workplace areas were also included in the decision. In addition, the decision includes housing and social facilities in Başakşehir, Hoşdere District, a park and primary education area in İkitelli-2 District, and fields and villas in Büyükçekmece.
