The tender won by Otokar for the purchase of 100 metrobuses opened by the IETT General Directorate was signed. The signing ceremony held at the IETT Metrobus Garage for the new metrobuses that will carry Istanbul residents, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğluwas held with the participation of IETT General Manager Alper Bilgili and Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç. Developing a domestic metrobus that will raise the standards in Istanbul transportation, Otokar will complete the delivery of new vehicles in batches within 2022. Otokar will also provide after-sales service to IETT for 3 years.

Having received great acclaim in more than 50 countries with the vehicles it produces, Otokar won the tender with a total value of 100 million TL for the purchase of 3 metrobuses by IETT and the provision of after-sales services for the vehicles for 606 years. The signing ceremony of IETT, which took place in the metrobus garage in Edirnekapı, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğluwas held with the participation of IETT General Manager Alper Bilgili and Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç.
Otokar, which has been preferred by many metropolitan municipalities in Turkey and in countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Romania in Europe in recent years, has developed the 21-meter metrobus version of KENT, KENT XL, for Istanbul public transportation. 100 KENT XL metrobuses, which will offer a high level of comfort in Istanbul's public transportation, will be delivered in batches until 2022. Otokar will also provide after-sales services for the vehicles for 3 years as per the contract.
