SPOR ISTANBUL, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), organizes “I'm Running Istanbul” events in order to increase the number of road race participants in Turkey and to organize alternative races. After the Women's Day Stage and the Caddebostan Color Run Stage, the 3rd race of this year, “I'm Running Istanbul” Bakırköy Stage, will be held on Sunday, September 26. The race, which will be held on a 10 km track, will start at 9.00. In the event, in which a total of 1.250 athletes will participate, the degrees of the athletes in the race will be measured with electronic timing chips.
FUN AND MOVEMENT TOGETHER
The activity will begin with breathing exercises and warm-ups. Fun will join the action with Dj Performance. It will end with the award ceremony that will take place after the race. Istanbulites will both compete and experience a fun Sunday.
IT WILL END WHERE IT STARTED
The race will start in front of Bakırköy İDO Pier İSPARK parking area on Kennedy Caddesi and will continue in the direction of Zeytinburnu. The first turning point on the track will be Tarhan Junction. The track, which takes a turn from Tarhan Junction, will continue towards Yeşilköy via Kennedy Caddesi and Rauf Orbay Caddesi. With the second turn to be made from the Havuzlu Junction, the track that continues in the direction of Bakırköy İDO Pier will end at the point where it started. In races to be run with pandemic measures, participants will be asked to submit a PCR test or two vaccination cards. The event series, which will be the scene of exciting moments, will continue with the Üsküdar Stage, which will be held on October 10, after Bakırköy.
