Izmir Metropolitan Municipality made special arrangements for public transportation due to the 3th Izmir International Fair to be opened on Friday, September 90rd. Izmir International Fair (IEF), which will be held for the 90th time this year, will remain open for 10 days. The fair, which will be opened on Friday, September 3, with the intense measures taken against the epidemic, will close on Sunday, September 12. The fair, which will be held with the theme of “We Celebrate Together for 90 Years” and “We Are Building the Future Together in İzmir”, will host many organizations from culture to art, from economy to social events.
94 additional trips on 370 lines on ESHOT
Precautions have been taken so that the visitors of the fair can benefit from public transportation vehicles after their departure at night. ESHOT General Directorate strengthened the 94 busy lines departing from Konak Bahribaba Transfer Center and Metro, Tramway and İZBAN connected transfer centers with a total of 370 additional flights. The last flight hours of the vehicles have been extended to hours varying between 01.00 and 02.00. In addition, Owl lines (24.00 Gaziemir-Konak, 06.00 Çiğli-Konak, 910 Bornova-Konak, 920 Buca-Konak, 930 Balçova-Konak) operating between 940 – 950 will continue to serve. Motorized teams were assigned for coordination at important points around the fair such as Çankaya, Montreux, Lausanne and Basmane. Izmir Metro and Konak Karşıyaka trams also extend their services by one hour during the IEF. The last flights on these lines will be made at 01.20.
