The countdown has begun for the opening of Ankara Atatürk Cultural Center Nation's Garden (AAKM), which will be the largest park in Europe, an important project that concerns not only Ankara and Turkey but the whole world, whose construction works were carried out by Yapı ve Yapı İnşaat. .

A very important cultural axis will be brought to the public and Turkey with this project, which will add value both to Ankara and our country, through which a tram will pass for the first time in Turkey, and where there will be activity areas such as the market place and seed center.

The day is counted for the completion of the Nation's Garden project in Ankara, which also includes the Atatürk Cultural Center. AAKM National Garden, which consists of 601 thousand 300 square meters of green and open areas and 35 thousand 700 square meters of closed areas, will provide pleasant moments to the people of Ankara.

Olcay Kazan, Yapı ve Yapı İnşaat Project Manager, said the following about this project, which will add value to both Ankara and our country and is unique in the world:

“The Nation's Garden, which will be opened soon, is an important project that concerns not only Ankara and Turkey, but the whole world. With the completion of the AKM Nation's Garden, which was established on an area of ​​637 thousand square meters, Ankara will have a green space and cultural corridor. There will be social areas such as a mosque, art workshops, country restaurant, teahouse, market place, seed center, children's club, health center, equestrian center in the Millet garden, approximately 95% of which will be equipped with green and open spaces.

Reminding that the Zipp Coaster amusement track was included for the first time in Turkey within the scope of the project, Kazan stated that the zipp coaster track to be established will have a 1.2 km long cable car.

Stating that they broke new ground both in the world and in Turkey, Kazan said that for the first time, a tram will pass through the people's garden and an area of ​​760 thousand square meters can be visited by tram. Expressing that the 4-stop tram line is 3 kilometers long, Kazan added that citizens can spend time at the desired stop.

Pointing out that in the Nation's Garden, there will be an organic market where you can buy products directly from the farmer, as well as the facilities where the provincial promotion days will be held, Kazan said, “Within the scope of the project, there will be an organic market and a seed center where local products will take place for the sustainability of agricultural culture. With the social and cultural activities to be held in the area, AKM National Garden will become a very important center operating 7 hours a day, 24 days a week.” Said.

Kazan continued his words as follows: “We built reading areas, hobby areas, children's playgrounds and sitting areas on the grass. They will be able to visit adventure parks. We organized areas with horse riding, activity meadows, and show pools. If necessary, training can be held in the conference hall with a capacity of XNUMX people. The project will include a covered parking lot. It will be a project that will serve our garden and those who come to the region and will serve the parking problem in the region.”

Kazan shared the following information about the afforestation works of AAKM National Garden: “Within the scope of the project, approximately 58 trees from 9000 species, 63 thousand shrubs from 190 species, 6 thousand 5 aquatic plants from 300 species and 20 flowers from 1480 species will be planted. 640 thousand square meters of the total project area of ​​450 thousand square meters will be green areas.”

Indicating that they have created two ecological corridors both in the south and north of Ankara with this project, commandekir said the following about the ecological corridor:

“We connected Atatürk Forest Farm and Atatürk Cultural Center, from here to our Youth Park, 19 May Stadium, Presidential Symphony Orchestra area, Ankara Hergelen Square and from there to Ankara Castle, the historical, cultural and natural axis. We have gained a very important green area that will connect Atatürk Forest Farm and Youth Park to the area where our 19 Mayıs Stadium is located.”
