President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, in his post on his official Twitter account on September 28, 2021, included the video of the firing test of STM's newest UAV, BOYGA. BOYGA hit its target with full accuracy. In the said post, “The latest example of our Mini UAV developments that will take on different tasks with new functions is BOYGA Ammunition Dropping UAV! BOYGA drops 81 mm mortar ammunition on the target thanks to its improved ballistic estimation algorithm.” statements were included.

The BOYGA project, carried out under the coordination of the SSB, is being implemented by Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. (STM). The ammunition integration of the platform is carried out by the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE). With a maximum take-off weight of 15,6 kilograms, BOYGA can stay in the air for 1 minutes with 81 piece of 35 mm mortar ammunition.

BOYGA Rotary Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Carrying Mortar Ordnance

Working in the field of Fixed and Rotary Wing, Mini Strike UAV Systems and Unmanned Systems for Reconnaissance and Surveillance, STM announced the Rotary Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle BOYGA Carrying Mortar Ammunition in August 2021. Following the Rotary Wing Striker UAV KARGU and the Fixed Wing Portable Intelligent Ammunition System ALPAGU, BOYGA also joined the STM product family.

BOYGA can drop 81 mm mortar ammunition on the target, thanks to its improved ballistic estimation algorithm, within the planned mission through the Ground Control Station. BOYGA's ammunition, whose ammunition system integration was carried out in cooperation with MKE, was adapted according to the release mechanism.
