Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank inaugurated the 6th Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF'21), organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Agency (TÜRKPATENT), within the scope of the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST). Minister Varank said, “I wish the 72th International Invention Fair, where 20 inventions, 254 of which are from 6 different countries, will compete in a sense and will meet with professionals, investors and entrepreneurs.” said.
Minister Varank stated that they held the 6th Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF'21), which he opened, with international stakeholders, and said, "With our recent work in the Global Innovation Index, we have risen 10 places at once thanks to the close cooperation with our Ministry by establishing a task force of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly. Our country has risen to 41st place in the Global Innovation Index, which is our greatest achievement so far. I say 'good luck to our country'. Hopefully, this Invention Fair will also open the door to new initiatives.” he said.
After the opening, Minister Varank visited the stands where the inventions were introduced with his accompanying people and received information from the participants. During his visit to Minister Varank, TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. Habip Asan accompanied him.
Bringing together inventors, researchers and innovators from different geographies of the world every year since 2016, ISIF is being held in Istanbul on September 21-26, after a one-year hiatus due to the epidemic.
The aim of the fair, which was realized with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TÜRKPATENT, International Federation of Inventors' Union, World Intellectual Property Organization, European Patent Office and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, is to introduce the inventions that have emerged as a result of great efforts, to raise awareness, and to bring the public-manufacturer-investor meeting. .
