At the 12th Transport and Communications Council organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, “future transportation and communication systems” will be discussed. Ministers of Transport and Deputy Ministers of 55 different countries will attend. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu emphasized that while it has become a country that produces and even exports its own technology in the components of the transportation sector, they connect Turkey with the world in every mode.

In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure; Focusing on the vision of the National Transport and Infrastructure Policy, the 12th Transport and Communications Council will be held at Atatürk Airport on 6 – 7 – 8 October.

In the Council, which will consist of TransportTech Conference, Transport Ministers' roundtable meeting, sector sessions, bilateral meetings and panel sections, today's and future transportation and communication systems will be discussed with the focus of “Logistics-Mobility-Digitalization”.

MAIN THEME “LOGISTICS-MOBILITY-DIGITALIZATION”

In the Council whose main theme was determined as “Logistics – Mobility – Digitalization”; "Contributing to the determination of Turkey's strategic targets in transportation and communication", "contributing to the simultaneous development of the sector with the world", "making suggestions about the issues that need solution", "determining new standards of global supply chains after Covid-19" and "national and international It is aimed to strengthen cooperation with stakeholders”.

MINISTERS OF TRANSPORTATION AND VICE MINISTERS OF 55 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES WILL PARTICIPATE

At the 12th Transport and Communications Council, panels will be held with high-level local and foreign speakers from 5 sectors, namely road, rail, sea, air and communication. Closed sessions will be held with the participation of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Transport from 55 different countries.

In these sessions; Cooperation opportunities in the sector, regional problems and solution proposals will be discussed on important issues such as mega transportation projects that will change the world, the development of transportation in the post-Kovid-19 world, the development of economy and transportation corridors that will support holistic development, and its impact on countries.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu evaluated the Council to be held; He drew attention to the fact that Turkey, which has a pioneering, innovative and planned transportation and infrastructure tradition in 19 years, has implemented many projects on a world scale in terms of engineering.

Karaismailoğlu said, “Being a superpower in the field of logistics, creating the conditions for an efficient and sustainable rational mobility within the country, accepting digitalization as our priority in every field constitutes a summary of our current working principles. Located in the center of the Eurasian region, at the heart of the New Silk Road, our country is on the verge of becoming a regional economic leader that will determine the course of trade.
