Victory Train Begins Its Journey on August 29

In cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, Dumlupınar University, the Union of Turkish City Councils and Balıkesir City Council; The Victory Train, prepared for the 30th anniversary of the August 99 Victory Day, will start its journey from Ankara to Dumlupınar on Sunday, August 29. Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz and AK Party Bilecik Deputy Selim Yağcı made a statement about the "I'm on the Victory Train" campaign.

Deputy Selim Yağcı said that on Sunday, August 29, at 13.07, when Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk departed for Dumlupınar, 90 city council presidents, families of martyrs and veterans will visit Anıtkabir. Noting that they started the project in order to keep the spirit of the National Struggle alive and to commemorate the heroes of Kurtuluş, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Yağcı said, “In the journey we will start from Anıtkabir, inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk; We will commemorate our ancestors with a 2023-minute journey from Anıttepe to Beştepe, Duatepe, Metristepe, Kocatepe and Zafertepe.” made the statement.
