Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is implementing another exemplary project. In this context, a Child Traffic Education Park is being built on an area of 17 thousand 473 square meters next to the Izmit South Terminal. Within the scope of the project, 6 thousand 500 square meters of driving track was planned in such a way that children between the ages of 7-12 can receive traffic education. In the children's traffic training park, the central building of which was completed by the Metropolitan Municipality, sidewalk andesite curbs and printed concrete pavements are manufactured.
TRAFFIC CULTURE WILL BE CREATED IN CHILDREN
With the Children's Traffic Education Park Project, it is aimed to create a traffic culture in children at an early age. With the project, pedestrian crossings, signalized and roundabouts, bicycle and vehicle roads, railway crossings, traffic signs and plates will be made. Within the scope of the project, trainings will be given to children between the ages of 7-12.
THE PASSAGE OF THE ROUTE HAS BEEN MADE
Asphalt laying in the 6 thousand 600 square meters driving track and parking area, where students will receive practical and theoretical training, was done by laying 1.300 tons of asphalt by the teams of the Department of Science Affairs. Binder asphalting of the track and car park was carried out. The final layer of abrasion asphalt will be made in the coming days.
