The ongoing collective bargaining negotiations between the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Seafarers' Union, in which İZDENİZ company personnel are organized, have been concluded. According to the contract, the personnel working on land was increased by 28,40 percent and the personnel working at sea by 29 percent. The ongoing collective bargaining agreement (TİS) negotiations between the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Seafarers' Union, in which İZDENİZ company personnel are organized, have been concluded. The 389th term TİS, which concerns 10 personnel and covers one year, is the Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. Tunç Soyer and İrfan Mete, Chairman of the Turkish Seafarers' Union. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Buğra Gökçe, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Barış Karcı, İZDENİZ Chairman of the Board Osman Hakan Erşen, İZDENİZ General Manager Ümit Yılmaz and union representatives attended.

İrfan Mete, Chairman of the Turkish Seafarers' Union, stated that they signed a good CLA. Tunç SoyerIn his speech to which he thanked , he said: “We have seen social democratic municipalism here. You tried to protect the rights of the workers and laborers under difficult conditions. You offered all the opportunities you could to your colleagues. We signed the best collective bargaining agreement this term in Izmir. On behalf of my working colleagues, I thank you. The happiness of our employees is our happiness, your happiness.”

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer Expressing that they have always adopted the policy of “equal pay for equal work”, he said, “We are trying to do something good. But sometimes we can't explain the good things we do. There is nothing more precious than the perception that something good is good. Your appreciation is the most precious reward for us. It is very important to hear your satisfaction.

According to the new collective bargaining agreement, a 28,40 percent increase was made for the personnel working on land. Thus, the lowest salary received by the personnel working on land was 5 thousand 679 liras. The rate of increase for the personnel working at sea was determined as 29 percent. The lowest salary received by the personnel working at sea increased to 6 thousand 659 liras.

According to the signed collective bargaining agreement, promotion payments will be made to the personnel for the first time.
