TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun sent a get-well message to the CEO of DB, who was affected by the flood in Germany last month, and shared his pain.

Deutsche Bahn AG Chairman and CEO Richard Lutz thanked the TCDD family in his reply letter and emphasized the importance of my cooperation in natural disasters and risk management.

In his letter, DB CEO Lutz thanked on behalf of the DB board of directors, “We had a great disaster, our railway lines were destroyed. Now we are working to fix it,” he said.

In his letter, Lutz conveyed his best wishes for the fires and said, “The railways of our countries and yours are affected by disasters. We should continue to cooperate with TCDD on joint measures within the international railway community.”

“The DB looks forward to meeting you at the next meeting to continue the long-term future-oriented cooperation between the two railways,” Lutz said in the final part of his letter.
