Water Polo Big Women's Turkey Cup has started. İzmir Metropolitan Belediyespor will plant a sapling for every goal scored in the Water Polo Big Women's Turkey Cup, hosted by it.
While Turkey was struggling with forest fires, İzmir Metropolitan Belediyespor decided to plant a sapling for every goal scored in the Women's Water Polo Turkey Cup it hosted. The trophy series, which started in the pool, which was renovated and brought to standards in Kültürpark Celal Atik Sports Hall, includes İzmir Metropolitan Belediyespor as well as Adana Kurtuluş, ODTÜ and Yeşilyurt teams. Izmir Metropolitan Belediyespor will donate a sapling for each goal scored in the Turkish Cup, where a total of 10 matches will be played. The Turkish Cup will end on Saturday.
Club President Ersan Odaman emphasized that the Ormanİzmir campaign, which was initiated under the leadership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer after the forest fire in İzmir in 2019, is an exemplary solidarity indicator and said, “Everyone has a great responsibility for the greening of our forests. Our club is taking a step in this direction by planting a sapling for every goal scored in the Turkish Cup.”
