A survey was conducted to develop noise reduction scenarios within the framework of the "Ankara Noise Action Plan" signed between Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center in 2019. Noise action plan report will be prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization through a survey that all capital residents can participate in via the address “ankara.bel.tr”.
“Ankara Noise Action Plan” project studies carried out under the coordination of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center were accelerated.
A survey was conducted with the aim of "Developing Ankara Province Noise Reduction Scenarios" in the works carried out within the scope of the protocol signed in 2019.
NOISE MAP REMOVED
The applicability of the “Noise Action Plan”, which was prepared to increase the quality of life of citizens living in the capital and to prevent noise-related health problems, was examined by experts in the field.
Considering the Strategic Noise Map, detailed research was carried out on road, rail and industry resources for the control and reduction of noise, which adversely affects human health and quality of life, for two years.
The survey prepared by the Department of Health Affairs and the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center was opened to all citizens of the Capital via the address “ankara.bel.tr”.

Seyfettin Aslan, Head of the Department of Health Affairs of the Metropolitan Municipality, drew attention to the importance of the survey they conducted in order to implement the noise reduction scenarios in Ankara, and gave the following information:
“Preparations for strategic noise maps and residential areas were started. As a result of all the evaluations, noise management areas were determined among the candidate areas for noise management. Source-based alternative mitigation scenarios were developed for the identified noise management areas. The opinions and thoughts of our residents are very important to us. For this reason, we prepared a survey study. In line with the measures to be taken against possible noise exposure in the capital city, the participation of the people of Ankara to this survey, which was prepared on the 'ankara.bel.tr' website, will be a guide. The opinions obtained through the survey will be included in our action plan work and the action plan work will be completed.”
LAST DAY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SURVEY: 12 SEPTEMBER 2021
It will be possible to participate in the survey conducted on the website of the Metropolitan Municipality until September 12, 2021.
The noise levels for residential areas, highways, railways and airports and the number of residences, schools, hospitals and affected people will be determined in the survey study, which will also determine the sources of noise in Ankara.
In particular, data on the level of citizens' exposure to environmental noise and its harmful effects on human health will also be included in the report to be prepared as a result of the survey. The report on the noise action plan to be implemented in the capital will then be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
