Seedless Sultani Grape Export Passenger

This year's export journey of Seedless Table Grape, which has a 73 percent share of Turkey's table grape exports, begins on Friday, August 6, 2021. The export date of Mevlana (Razaki) Table grapes is; It is set for Thursday, August 12, 2021.

While Turkey's export of fresh grapes was 2020 million dollars in 150, the export of Seedless Table Sultani Grape, which is the homeland of Anatolia and the preference of the Ottoman Sultans, reached 2020 million 19 thousand dollars in 110 with an increase of 734 percent. Foreign exchange income from Mevlana grape was recorded as 1,5 million dollars.

Stating that the producers did not neglect the maintenance of their vineyards during the pandemic period, and that they produced seedless table grapes, the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association President Hayrettin Aircraft noted that Turkish exporters, by exporting 110,7 million dollars, ensured that the producers were rewarded for their efforts.

Export target is 125 million dollars

Informing that 55 thousand producers produce seedless sultana grapes in vineyards exceeding 1 million decares in the Manisa-İzmir-Denizli triangle, Uçar said, “Grapes strengthen the immune system. I invite all our citizens to consume table grapes during the pandemic period. We especially recommend putting fresh grapes in the lunchboxes of our children who will go to school until the end of the season, and seedless raisins after the season is over. We aim to generate 125 million dollars of foreign exchange in exports," he said.

Slaughter and export dates of Sultani Seedless Table Grape Mevlana (Razaki Type) Table Grape Varieties were determined by the "Commission for Determining the Cut and Export Dates of the Sultani Seedless Table Grape Varieties and Mevlana (Razaki Type) Table Grape Varieties" established under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Commerce, Aegean Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Directorate. It was determined as a result of the examinations made in the vineyards that will set a precedent in the districts of Denizli and Denizli.
