Details of the Moscow-St.Petersburg high-speed train line construction, which has been on the agenda for a long time in Russia, were shared. Providing information on his Twitter account, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that thanks to the high-speed train line, the time between the two cities will be reduced to 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Stating that the trains will stop at Zelenogad, Petrovsko-Razumskaya, Rijskaya DZ and Leningrad Station in Moscow, Sobyanin informed that there will be a transfer from public transportation vehicles to these stations.

In a statement made earlier by the mayor's press service, it was stated that the length of the new speed train line will be 680 kilometers, 43 kilometers of which will be located within the borders of Moscow.

Within the scope of the high-speed train project, the first trains are expected to start in December 2026. The cost of the project was announced as 1,7 trillion rubles.
