EGO General Directorate Ankara Metro Operation updated the signaling system in order to provide safer, more comfortable and faster service in Başkent. Finally, with the update introduced in the Keçiören Metro, the driving speed on the “M1, M2, M3-OSB/Törekent-Koru Metro and M4-Keçiören” lines; Increased from 70 kilometers to 80 kilometers.

A NEW SIGNALIZATION SYSTEM IS IMPLEMENTED IN KEÇİÖREN METRO
EGO General Directorate, which switched from the V1 software system to the V2 software system on the "M3, M4, M6-OSB/Törekent-Koru Metro" line in the past months, recently started to implement the new signaling system by making test drives on the "M4-Keçiören" line.
EGO General Directorate Ankara Metro Operations Manager Yurtalp Erdoğdu pointed out that the speed of the metro increased even more with the new software and the quality of transportation increased, and gave the following information:
“As a requirement of our human-oriented work, we continue to work to make the existing metro system more comfortable, faster and safer. On February 8, 2021, the signaling system of our OSB-Törekent Metro line was updated and raised to V6 level. Now, the works on our Keçiören Metro line have been completed and the signaling system has been upgraded to the V6 level. As of now, we are providing a faster and safer transportation to our passengers by leveling up the signaling system in our entire metro system.”
