Highway Crews Create Paths to Disconnect Fire with Settlements

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who made inspections in the areas affected by the fire in Antalya İbradı Gölcük Region, said that all highway construction sites in the region were used in the fight against fire.

Karaismailoğlu said, “All of our construction sites, teams and equipment are fighting fire. Our highway teams are currently trying to open wide roads in the areas where they are in order to disconnect the fire from the settlements so that the fire can be disconnected from other areas. There is an extraordinary situation in the region. Our hope is that the fires will be extinguished as soon as possible," he said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu examined the areas affected by the fire in Antalya İbradı Gölcük. Karaismailoğlu, who has been examining the fire-affected areas in Antalya's Manavgat and Gündoğmuş districts for days, made a press statement about the work carried out in the region in İbradi Gülcük.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they have almost turned the highway construction sites in the regions into coordination centers; He stated that the teams in Bodrum, Milas and Marmaris are also on the alert.

On the one hand, our friends, our teams, on the other hand, the teams of the General Directorate of Forestry, we are fighting the fire under the command of experts. Our highway teams are currently trying to open wide roads in the areas where they are in order to disconnect the fire from the settlements so that the fire can be disconnected from other areas. We use all our highway construction sites in the region for fire fighting. There is an extraordinary situation in the region. Our hope is that the fires are extinguished as soon as possible. There is a temperature of 45 degrees in the area where we are now. There is almost no humidity. On the other hand, the wind is blowing. We are putting out the fires, but this time there are fires in different places,” he said.

“We stand by all our citizens who were victims of the fire”

Emphasizing that he was going through a difficult process with the effect of weather conditions, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they are in dialogue with meteorology; He noted that thousands of teams continue their fight against the fire with an all-out effort.

Karaismailoğlu said, “There is an extraordinary struggle here under the leadership and coordination of our President. Everyone should support this struggle. Our hope is that the fire will be eliminated as soon as possible. We stand with all our citizens who were victims of the fire. We fulfill their wishes, demands and needs. As long as nothing hurts. We also have casualties. May God have mercy on them, I wish my condolences to their relatives. There is a compensation for everything except loss of life. We're here to make up for everything but life. We are here to support our teams. We are here to support our citizens. Hopefully, we will put an end to this fire as soon as possible," he said.

Afterwards, Minister Karaismailoğlu, who examined the areas affected by the fire in Manavgat Yaylaalanı Village; He met with the citizens and made determinations about their needs.
