İBB subsidiary SPOR ISTANBUL is preparing activities that will bring coolness to hot summer days. It organizes 'Istanbul Water Sports Days' at 5 different points in the city. The event, which will witness exciting competitions in 9 different branches, will take place between 27-30 August.
SPORT ISTANBUL, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), which works to ensure that Istanbulites are active and intertwined with sports in all seasons, invites the residents of the city to cool waters on hot summer days. The blue waters of the city embrace Istanbulites with Istanbul Water Sports Days.
5 DIFFERENT BRANCHES IN 9 DIFFERENT POINTS
'Istanbul Water Sports Days' will be held in Maltepe Orhangazi City Park, Golden Horn, Büyükçekmece, Bosphorus (Çırağan Palace-Anadolu Fortress) and Küçükçekmece, which are among the most beautiful spots of the city. Participants will compete in 9 different branches: water polo, swimming, aquathlon, canoeing, rowing, dragon boat, modern pentathlon, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing.
August 27-30, when Istanbul will be full of water activities, will be the scene of a fierce struggle and great excitement for sports fans. Istanbulites will be able to watch the events that are open to participation from many points of the city, especially the Golden Horn and Maltepe. In the competitions where licensed athletes will compete fiercely, the 'dragon bot' category will also be open to the participation of the public. Music and DJ performances in the event areas will also add fun to the sport.
