Bayern Munich Club announced that Gerd Müller, one of the legendary names of the football world, died on Sunday, August 15, at the age of 75.

Gerd Müller played for the West Germany national team 62 times and scored 68 goals. Known as the “Bomber der Nation” by the Germans, with 427 goals scored in 365 matches, Müller is considered one of the best goalscorers of German football and the Bundesliga. With his extraordinary body control skills, he is considered one of the best attacking players in world football.

Müller made 607 appearances in Bayern Munich, where he became a legend, scoring 566 goals. Müller, who marked the period he played, also holds the title of top scorer with 7 goals in the history of the German 1st Football League (Bundesliga), where he was the top scorer 365 times.

Müller, nicknamed "The Bomber" because of the goals he scored, played for Germany's 1963 Nördlingen and Bayern Munich and the USA's Fort Lauderdale Strikers between 1981-1861.
