The proposal of the Rector's Office of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University to establish a "Filyos Sustainable Development Application and Research Center" was approved by the Higher Education Council in order to contribute scientifically to the "Filyos Valley Project", one of the investments that will play an important role in the sustainable development of our country.
Our Center, which is planned to be in interdisciplinary cooperation with all academic units of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, aims to contribute to regional sustainable development by sharing information, findings and analyzes about Filyos and its surroundings with the public. The center will also provide researchers and academics with versatile research and development opportunities, and the research will contribute to the scientific accumulation.

Making a statement on the subject, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çufalı stated that the approval given by the Council of Higher Education to the proposal for the establishment of the 'Filyos Sustainable Development Application and Research Center' within the rectorate was pleasing on behalf of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, our province and our region, and thanked the President of YÖK for his support.
