Izmir Metropolitan Municipality provides "Disaster Preparedness Training" in order to ensure that the police personnel can work consciously in case of a possible fire, earthquake and flood.

While Turkey is struggling with forest fires and flood disasters, the Metropolitan Municipality has started “Disaster Preparedness Training” to ensure that the Police Department personnel take part in a possible disaster such as fire, earthquake and flood.

25 police personnel attend the program, which started at the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire and Natural Disaster Training Center by the expert trainers of the Fire Brigade Department. The police personnel, who received theoretical and practical training for 2 hours, passed the basic fire knowledge training. While learning to extinguish fire with fire extinguishers, he learned the techniques of search and rescue and wounded transport. The trainings will last for 4 weeks and 100 police personnel will be prepared for disasters.
