At least two people were killed and dozens were injured as a result of the collision of two trains in the Milavce region of Czechia, close to the German border. Seven of the injured were reported to be in serious condition.

Two people were killed and dozens were injured when two trains collided near a village in the Czech countryside. Rescue helicopters and ambulances were dispatched to the scene after the train accident that occurred in the vicinity of Milavce, close to the German border, at around 08.00:XNUMX local time this morning.

Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlicek stated that one of the trains gave a stop signal and collided with the other train.

Havlicek announced on Twitter that one of the trains involved in the accident was the Ex 351 high-speed train. According to the Czech Railways website, this train was going from Munich to Prague.
