The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that the assembly of 1915 of 87 decks on the 29 Çanakkale Bridge, which is under construction between Çanakkale's Lapseki and Gelibolu districts, has been completed; He also stated that within the scope of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge construction, a 1 kilometer long and 3 meter high environmental sound barrier was built on the connection road so that the people living in the Yülüce Village locality would not be disturbed by the noise of the vehicles.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was stated that the 1915th deck block of the 29 Çanakkale Bridge, which will have the title of suspension bridge with the largest middle span in the world, has been placed. The ministry stated that the passageway of the bridge started to become more evident with the assembly of some of the mega decking blocks, each 45 meters wide and 48 meters long. For the project, which is described as the necklace of the Dardanelles Strait, intensive work is carried out with approximately 665 thousand people, 5 of whom are engineers, at the construction sites in Lapseki Şekerkaya on the Asian side and Gelibolu Sütlüce on the European side.

It will connect the European and Asian Continents for the first time in the Dardanelles Strait.

Reminding that the foundation of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which will connect the European and Asian continents for the first time in the Dardanelles, was laid on March 18, 2017, the Ministry pointed out that after 4,5 years, the road to the bridge is visible. The 318-meter steel towers of the Suspension Bridge mark March 18, 1915, when the Çanakkale Naval Victory, which is of great importance in terms of Turkish and World History, was won. 1915 Çanakkale Bridge The 2.023 meter middle span between the two steel towers of the Suspension Bridge marks the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. The red and white color of the towers represents our Red Flag.”

Malkara-Çanakkale Highway will be completed on March 18, 2022

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway will be put into service on March 1915, 18, together with the 2022 Çanakkale Bridge. According to the statements made by the Ministry, in the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway project; 1 suspension bridge, 2 approach viaducts, 2 reinforced concrete viaducts, 6 underpasses, 6 hydraulic bridges, 12 bridges, 43 overpass bridges, 40 underpasses, 241 culverts in various sizes, 12 intersections, 4 highway service facilities , 2 maintenance and operation centers, 7 fare collection stations will be built.

Environmental sound barrier was built on the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge connection road

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that within the scope of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge construction, which is under construction between Çanakkale's Lapseki and Gelibolu districts, an environmental sound barrier was installed on the connection road in Yülüce Village. The Ministry stated that the teams worked intensively on the route of the Kınalı, Tekirdağ, Çanakkale and Savaştepe Highway Project between Malkara and Çanakkale, including the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, and noted that 100 percent environmentalist investments were selected for environmental protection activities in the bridge project. In this context, the Ministry informed that a 900-meter-long and 3-meter-high barrier was installed in the section passing through the Yülüce Village location, which is the closest settlement on the route of the bridge, so that the residents of the area are not disturbed by the noise of the vehicles.
