We started the assembly of our bridge on August 16 and completed it on August 22. The width of our bridge is 4,26 meters and its length is 40 meters.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the panel bridge, which was built on the Kumluca-Abdipaşa State Highway, which was the most damaged by the flood in Bartın, and which was destroyed by the flood, was opened to traffic. Minister Karaismailoğlu; He also said that permanent roads, bridges, buildings and art structures will be rebuilt as soon as possible.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they have been with and close to the citizens in the Western Black Sea Region since the flood occurred on August 11, and said, “In the flood disaster that occurred on August 11; Damages occurred in 1228 kilometers of our 155,5 kilometers long road network in Kastamonu, Bartın and Sinop provinces. Right after the flood, we started to open our closed roads. With the works we have done so far, we have opened all our road sections to traffic one by one. Our work continues with 700 machines, equipment and nearly a thousand personnel.” he spoke

Stating that as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, they will continue to stand by the nation with all their units and teams, Minister Karaismailoğlu said:

“In Sinop; Damage occurred in 564 kilometers of our 55 kilometers road network. In our work so far, we have completed maintenance and repair works on the roads.”

By using the box culvert on the Ayancık Stream; Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they put the crossing, which allows two-way vehicle traffic and also allows pedestrian crossing, into service in a short time like 18 hours and continued his speech as follows:

“In Kastamonu; Damage occurred in 553 kilometers of the 59,5 kilometers long road. With the work done so far, we have repaired the damage. Our work continues.

Reminding that the Kumluca-21 Bridge on the 2st kilometer of the Kozcagiz-Kumluca-Abdipaşa Provincial road was destroyed due to the flood, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Today, we are putting the temporary panel bridge into service instead of our Kumluca-2 Bridge, which was destroyed in the flood disaster. We started to transport our panel bridge materials on August 12, the day after the flood, with trucks from our 12th Regional Directorate of Highways. We started the assembly of our bridge on August 16 and completed it on August 22. The width of our bridge is 4,26 meters and its length is 40 meters.” gave the information.

Pointing out that they have been fighting on a 11/7 basis with military, civilian, officer and volunteers since 24 August, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “After the flood disaster, we brought a car ferry to the region for the evacuation of our citizens in Sinop Ayancık and Türkeli with their vehicles. On the other hand, we transported our citizens to their loved ones by helicopters until the transition between Türkeli and Çatalzeytin was achieved. In addition, we collected the logs carried to the sea by the flood using the net system, which was realized for the first time with our tugboats. In this way, we have ensured the navigational safety of marine vehicles. May God have mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the flood disaster, I express my condolences to their sad families. I wish a speedy recovery to our injured brothers and sisters. We will rebuild our permanent roads, bridges, buildings and art structures as soon as possible and we will open them together.”
