Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has started to work to include Kemalpasa in the rail transportation network. The first stage of the project tender for the Otogar-Kemalpaşa metro line was made today. 7 companies, two of which are Italian, participated in the project tender.

7 companies applied for prequalification

The first stage of the project tender for the 27,5 kilometer Otogar-Kemalpaşa Metro line was made today. Kaiser Engineering and Consulting Inc., Tekfen Engineering Inc., Yüksel Proje International Inc., Team Group (Italian), Su-Yapı Engineering and Consulting Inc.- Metro Istanbul Industry and Trade Joint Venture, SWS Engineering SPA ( Italian)- Tümaş Business Partnership and Prota Mühendislik Proje Danışmanlık Hizmetleri A.Ş. participated and submitted their prequalification files. In the second stage of the project tender, the companies that provide prequalification will be listed and will present the methods by which they will carry out the project. In the 3rd stage tender, financial offers will be opened. The project work, which will start after the completion of the tender process, will be completed in two years.

We said, 'We will weave İzmir with iron nets'. Now we will start the project work for the Otogar-Kemalpaşa Metro Line. Where will it go?

The metro line, which will be a breather for Kemalpaşa traffic, and which will connect the industrial zones between Kemalpaşa and Bornova, will consist of 19 stations. It will pass through the Bus Station, Işıkkent, Bornova Industry, Pınarbaşı, Ambarlar, Kavaklıdere, Ulucak, Kemalpaşa State Hospital, Kemalpaşa Center, Kemalpaşa Municipality, Kemalpaşa University and Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone. The line will be integrated into the Izmir Bus Station and the Izmir-Ankara High Speed ​​​​Train line, which is planned to be built by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and the Bus Station-Halkapınar Light Rail System line.
