Officials of the Ministry of National Education and Health came together and prepared the “Guide for the Precautions to be Taken in Schools in the Covid-19 Outbreak”.

In the guide sent to the provincial national education directorates, it was recommended that teachers, education personnel, canteen workers and student service personnel be fully vaccinated.

According to the guide, PCR tests will be requested twice a week from unvaccinated teachers and school staff who are required to meet with students.

It will be recommended that people living in the same house with students have the full dose of vaccinations.

A sufficient number of masks will be provided by the Ministry of National Education so that students, teachers and staff in all schools can use them if needed.

Mask waste boxes will be kept in the school, common areas, classrooms, teacher rooms and they will be emptied daily.

Sick, contact or risk situations of students and staff will be monitored through data integration between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health, and the necessary notification will be made to the schools.

During the seminar week, teachers will be given training on infection control and school entry conditions, and the implementation of this program and the measures to be taken will be followed by the officer to be determined by the school administration.

All students in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education will come to school with masks, but there will be an exception for children who have developmental problems or have difficulty wearing masks.

It will be ensured that the mask is sized appropriately for children.

It will be ensured that there are spare masks in the school to replace the masks in case of moisture.

If possible, face shields will be provided for students who cannot wear masks, for developmental problems or for children who cannot wear masks for medical reasons (registered with a doctor's report).

In cases where very close contact is required, it will be recommended to use a face shield with a mask.

Regardless of their vaccination status, teachers will always wear masks from their entrance to the school garden throughout their stay at school.

Teachers will be advised to change their masks between classes if they teach in different classes.

Persons in teacher rooms and other common areas will be provided to wear masks at all times, including those who have been vaccinated.

Care will be taken to ensure that food and beverage consumption is carried out at separate times and as soon as possible.

Other officers;
He will always wear a mask during the time he is at school and in every environment, regardless of the vaccination status.

If the mask gets damp, a new mask will be used.

During the epidemic, parents and visitors will not be allowed to enter the school, including the garden, as much as possible. In cases where entrance to the school is compulsory, it will be ensured that the visitors are "Risk-Free" when querying the HEPP code and they will be provided to wear masks from the outermost point.

Ventilation of classrooms
During the lesson, classroom windows will be kept open as much as possible and natural ventilation will be provided by taking precautions so as not to create risks such as falling and hitting for students.

During recess, all students will be allowed to go to the open area as much as possible, and the classroom windows and doors will be fully opened and ventilated for at least 10 minutes to create an air flow.

The windows in the common closed areas of the school will be kept open or ventilated as much as possible.

For buildings with central ventilation systems; if possible, the ventilation will be arranged in such a way as to provide completely fresh air circulation.

Maintenance of ventilation systems and filter changes will be done on time.

The ventilation will be operated at the lowest possible speed.

Even if the ventilation system is working, natural ventilation will be preferred in areas with windows that can be opened.

Application of distance rules
Crowded groups of students, teachers and other employees will be prevented in and around the school yard.

Break times will be arranged at different times, taking into account the physical capacity of the school and the number of students in order to avoid crowds.

Necessary arrangements will be made to maintain social distance at school entrance, exit and breaks. Care will be taken to maintain social distance between students in the school garden.

Planning will be done in a way that will minimize the gathering of students from different classes in closed areas. If the school entrance and exit times cannot be changed, lesson start times and lesson breaks will be planned in a way that minimizes the gathering of students from different classes.

In the classroom, the seating arrangement of the students will be structured so that their faces are facing the same direction.

In determining the distance between students, the school administration will make arrangements in accordance with the social distance by paying attention to the number of classrooms and students in the school.

Necessary measures will be taken under the coordination of provincial and district health directorates in regions where the case rate and risk of transmission are high or there is a sudden increase in the number of cases.

Loud exercises such as singing, which may cause saliva and secretion outflow, must be done in the open area, preferably with a distance of at least 2 meters between students.

Students will be encouraged to exercise at home or outside of school.

Feeding hours will be spread over different times as much as possible, taking into account the physical capacity of the school. Meals will be allowed to be eaten outside of the classroom, if possible, or in open spaces with high ceilings and large, ventilated spaces. Masks will be removed only during hydration or feeding.

Lesson durations will be planned not to exceed 40 minutes, taking into account the physical size of the class and the number of students.

The routine cleaning of the school will be increased.

Handwashing facilities with soap and water will be provided for the hand hygiene of children, teachers and other school staff, and an appropriate number of hand antiseptics will be placed in common areas.

At the beginning of the school, an "Information Form" will be given to parents so that they can share information in case of possible illness.
