Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum stated that after the fires in Antalya, Mersin, Osmaniye, Adana, Muğla and Kilis, they continued their damage assessment studies quickly with all the means of technology, with a team of 257 people and mobile laboratories in the field.

In a post on its Twitter account, the institution stated that on the 5th day of the fight against the fire, they acted together with all the means of the state, with the understanding of mobilization, and that they stood by the citizens.

“With our team of 257 people in the field and mobile laboratories in Antalya, Mersin, Osmaniye, Adana, Muğla and Kilis, we continue our damage assessment efforts with all the means of technology.” Using the expression, the Minister Institution gave the following information about the damage assessment studies in the provinces:

“We have completed our damage assessment works in 33 of 30 neighborhoods in Antalya Manavgat, and we continue in 3 neighborhoods. 2 residences, 331 commercial establishments, 768 stables and 38 other households in 224 thousand 416 buildings; We have determined that a total of 1446 independent units are heavily damaged, to be demolished immediately, and demolished. We have determined that 74 buildings in Muğla Marmaris are heavily damaged, to be demolished immediately and are in ruins. Sites, Armutalan, Bayır, İçmeler and Turunç neighborhoods, we continue our damage assessment studies. We have completed our damage assessment works throughout the province of Mersin. We have determined that a total of 57 buildings, 20 in Aydıncık and 77 in Silifke, are to be demolished immediately, heavily damaged and demolished.

We had evacuated 6 households in 1605 villages of Adana Kozan and Aladağ districts, and as of yesterday, we have completed our damage assessment studies throughout Adana. We have determined that a total of 24 buildings, 37 in Aladağ and 61 in Kozan, are to be demolished immediately, heavily damaged and demolished. We go to all the villages and neighborhoods affected by the fire with our teams, carry out our investigations without interruption, and meet the needs of our citizens. Working on a 7/24 basis, we will not victimize any of our citizens, and we will bandage our wounds together.”
