Saudi Arabia's Medina Airport, operated by TAV Airports, was selected as the best airport in the region at the Skytrax awards given according to passenger evaluations. Riga, Zagreb and Tbilisi, which are in TAV's portfolio, were also among the top 10 airports in Eastern Europe.

TAV was included in the World Airport Awards list announced by the international air transport rating agency Skytrax with four airports this year.

Thus, we closely follow the needs and expectations of our passengers and quickly produce innovative solutions. We are happy that Medina Airport, the gateway to the Holy Land, has been chosen as the best in the region for its service quality.”

TAV Airports has the right to operate Medina Airport, which served 2019 million passengers in 8,4, until 2037. At the airport, which mainly serves Umrah and Hajj passengers, the passenger terminal, renovated by TAV with an investment of approximately 1,2 billion dollars, was put into service in April 2015. The new terminal building became the first building in the Middle East and North Africa region to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certificate.

Within the scope of the Skytrax World Airport Awards, which have been given since 1999, more than 500 airports around the world are evaluated according to more than 30 criteria through passenger surveys. This year, the scope of the survey was expanded to evaluate the measures taken due to the pandemic.
