“İSKİ HAS A JOB FOR NEARLY 90 DAYS”

Pointing out that the Unkapanı Junction Bridge, which is the entrance to the historical peninsula, has been neglected for years, İmamoğlu said:

“There is an Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram line passing from here. It was hard work. But my friends, the workers here, our contractor company did a good job. He finished on the date he said. It was put into service on 31 July. Today we came to find it. But the matter is not over yet. We have a lot of work here. Now, the tunnel, through which this tram will pass, continues. The displacements of the rain waters here continue. All these works continue in a gradual, successive system. İSKİ has a job for nearly 90 days. At the same time, our Science Department will continue on its way. The rails of our tram line have started to be laid. The period when it becomes sparkling is approximately July 2022. But at the moment, the traffic is not interrupted. While these different works are being done within a certain amount, the road will be cut off and reopened on small connection roads. But in July 2022, this junction, which has served Istanbul for decades, will be fully operational.”

“CONCRETE WILL BE VALUED BY ITS PERMANENT WORKS OF ART”

Expressing that they want to evaluate the points where the concrete images of the intersection are with permanent works of art, İmamoğlu said, “We want to leave this historical trace here, in its most beautiful form, for years to come. My friends will also work on this. A good effort was made. Especially the part where the tram will pass here continues. He is very important. We want this work, which we brought to Cibali as soon as possible, to reach Eminönü Square as soon as possible. We are trying to bring Istanbul together with a beautiful square. In this respect, my friends continue their work, and I watch it with pleasure. We gave such information to Istanbulites on a beautiful Sunday. Good luck to Istanbul," he said.

“FIRES ARE NOT UNSURPRISING WORKS”

Emphasizing that we are going through difficult times as a country, İmamoğlu ended his words with the following messages:

“Climate change, global warming, fires… These are all unpredictable, no surprises. All these, in fact, the risk of fire when and in what form, is known by the countries. In this respect, it is very valuable not to wrestle with nature, not to wrestle with nature, not to destroy nature. Why did I add this to the end? Cities need it, the countryside needs it. Let's walk out of real needs and humanitarian demands, but let's not do things that will devastate the country. And let's be prepared for such disasters. On the one hand, we are working very hard on this. Why are we hiring firefighters? Why do we have police on the one hand? Because that's what you'll need in moments like these. God bless. We must be prepared for any disaster. On the one hand, we must close these shortcomings. On the other hand, we must extinguish and repair the ongoing fire processes as soon as possible. My condolences to those who lost their lives. Hopefully we can put out the fires soon. We will eliminate that disaster as well.”
