Fazıl Say's Voice of Nature Concert with the Support of Mercedes-Benz at the 49th Istanbul Music Festival

Fazıl Say's “Voice of Nature” concert was held at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater on Thursday, 49 August as part of the 19th Istanbul Music Festival. Fazıl Say “Voice of Nature” concert met with music lovers with the contributions of Mercedes-Benz, which has been the “High Contributor Show Sponsor” for 34 years with the support it has given to the Istanbul Music Festival.

Mercedes-Benz's cooperation with the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts started 34 years ago when it became the show sponsor of the opera 'Abduction from the Palace', one of the classics of the Istanbul Music Festival. This journey continued with the most outstanding performances of the Festival. With its uninterrupted support for more than 30 years, Mercedes-Benz is among the “Highest Contributing Show Sponsors” of the Istanbul Music Festival, one of the city's most special art events, and is honored to be recognized with this honor.

Fazıl Say was the guest of the festival with a world and a Turkish premiere.

Fazıl Say met with artists such as Gidon Kremer and Yuri Bashmet, the violinist Friedemann Eichhorn, who has brilliant collaborations in the field of chamber music, and the three ECHO Klassik, Diapason d'Or and the casalQuartet, which embraced many prestigious awards, in the concert titled “The Voice of Nature”.

The world premiere of Fazıl Say's new piano sonata "New Life", which he composed during the pandemic period and described as "My best work", took place at the festival. On the night of the Turkish premiere of the artist's violin sonata called Kaz Mountains, Say's piece "Walking Mansion", which tells the story of the plane tree and mansion in Atatürk's Millet Farm in Yalova, also sang works by Brahms and Barber.

Engineer scholarship students were also at the concert

The students of Boğaziçi University Scholarship Program, which Mercedes-Benz Türk initiated in 2018 to support successful university students in need, which is one of the social responsibility activities for women's empowerment, were also among the audience.
