Service Building of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Antalya Transportation Inc. roof type solar power plants (GES) installed in the building started to produce electricity. With a total energy production of 330 kWh and an energy storage of 400 kWh, the Metropolitan Municipality became the first municipality in Turkey to produce and store its energy.

With the exemplary project carried out in this context, the Metropolitan Municipality will both produce electrical energy and prevent the emission of carbon dioxide that harms the nature with the GES projects it has installed in the buildings belonging to the municipality.
A FIRST LIFE IN TURKEY
With the 'Roof Type Solar Power Plant and Electricity Storage System' implemented within the scope of the MAtchUP Project, a total of 330 kW hours of energy production and 400 kW hours of energy storage are realized on the roof of the municipality and the roof of the tram workshop. In the system, the infrastructure of which is ready, the battery groups were connected and the installation was completed. Thus, the system started to produce electricity from the sun. With this exemplary project, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality became the first municipality to produce and store its energy. With the project, approximately 700 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year will be prevented directly.
