Ekol Logistics supports the organization of the international humanitarian and cultural trip HimalayaExpedition 2021, which will start in Poland, where it has its facilities, and end in Nepal. Departing from Poland for the HimalayaExpedition to be held in August-September, four Polish mountaineers came to Turkey on their route and were hosted at the Ekol Lotus Facility.

The trip aims to commemorate the first major expedition to Southern Annapurna (the peak in the Himalayas) in 1979, in which three Himalayan mountaineers lost their lives. Travelers, at the same time, will visit the center where people living in difficult conditions due to the earthquake disaster that took place a few years ago and the epidemic in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, which is the last stop of their journey, and bring relief materials.

Speaking at the mountaineers' visit to Ekol, Ekol Poland Country Manager ArkadiuszJastrzębski said, “We are happy to be able to support HimalayaExpedition 2021. This organization shows that Ekol can connect Europe and Asia not only with transportation services, but also by supporting cultural events between regions.” he said.

Mountaineers will exceed 10 thousand kilometers

The journeys of mountaineers from Poland; Following the route of Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India, it will end in Nepal. During the 35-day trip, the mountaineers will travel 10 thousand kilometers.

As part of the trip, exhibitions describing the golden age of Polish Himalayanism will also be held at the embassies of the countries on the route. The exhibition in Turkey will be held not only at the Polish Embassy, ​​but also for Ekol employees.
