In a statement made by the Chinese Federation of the Disabled, it was announced that China will send a team of 251 athletes to the Tokyo Paralympic Games. The Chinese team, consisting of 132 female athletes and 119 male athletes, will compete in 2020 of 22 sports branches, including taekwondo and badminton, which will be held for the first time in the 20 Tokyo Paralympic Games program.

The average age of the Chinese convoy, consisting of various professions such as worker, farmer, student, civil servant and business owner, was determined as 27,5. The youngest athlete in the group is 16-year-old swimmer Jiang Yuyan, while the oldest athlete is 56-year-old table tennis player Zhao Ping.

On the other hand, in the statement of the federation, it was emphasized that the entire Chinese convoy that will participate in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games was vaccinated against Kovid-19. Approximately 24 athletes from 5 countries and regions are expected to participate in the Tokyo Paralympic Games, which will be held from August 160 to September 4.
