Last year, China ranked first in the world with a highway length of 161 kilometers. At the press conference held by the Press Office of the State Council of China, China's transportation situation was introduced. According to last year's data, a total of 146 thousand kilometers of railway network is in service in China. The length of the highways reaches 5 million 198 thousand 100 kilometers. China maintains its position in the world with 161 thousand kilometers in terms of highway length.

The length of river transportation lines in China has reached 128 thousand kilometers, and the number of civil airports has reached 241. Although there are more than 349 thousand postal branches in China, cargo service is offered in every village.

In addition, mega projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shanghai Yangshan Automatic Pier and Beijing-Zhangjiakou Expressways have been put into service.

In 2020, a total of 9 billion 670 million passengers were hosted in China, 46 billion 440 tons of goods were transported. Among the top 10 ports in the world in terms of cargo and container volume, the number of Chinese ports was 8 and 7, respectively.
