Aid to Villages Inaccessible in Floods Transported by Helicopters

Helicopters of the Ministry of National Defense deliver the materials prepared by the Red Crescent to the villages that cannot be reached in the Bozkurt district of Kastamonu and the Ayancık district of Sinop, where the flood disaster took place.

With the logistics centers it has established in Sinop and Kastamonu, Kızılay provides the transportation of aid materials to the villages that cannot be reached by helicopters. Prepared aid materials are brought to the area by vehicles. The aid is loaded on helicopters by the Red Crescent volunteers and soldiers and delivered to the villages.

Aid parcels consisting of food items, cleaning and hygiene materials, bread and other necessities are sent to the most suitable places in the villages and distributed to those in need with the support of the villagers. On the other hand, the efforts of the relevant institutions of the state to pave the way to the inaccessible villages continue.
