The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure organizes a series of meetings to guide Turkey's transportation and communication efforts. In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that the program, which will be held between 8-9 July and which brings together representatives of public institutions, academics, sector stakeholders and Ministry experts, started with the 'Transportation and Logistics Master Plan Workshop'.

On the first day, the Vision, Objectives, Targets and Strategies to be taken as a basis for the national Transport and Logistics Master Plan were discussed.

It was stated that the vision, goals and strategies in the fields of logistics, mobility and digitalization were evaluated in accordance with the main goal of "holistic development" of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which has adopted the principle of "connecting the world with Turkey" in its investments and services, at the workshop organized by the Strategy Development Presidency, which started yesterday. was done.

On the first day of the 'Transportation and Logistics Background Workshop', it was stated that the Vision, Objectives, Targets and Strategies to be taken as a basis for the National Transport and Logistics Master Plan were discussed, and in the opening session of the workshop, Yıldız Technical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Umut Rıfat Tuzkaya, Head of Strategy Development Dr. Yunus Emre Ayozen, Former Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Prof. Dr. It was recorded that Veysel Eroğlu made speeches.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was stated that the main targets were determined as follows in the study organized to prepare the "Transportation and Logistics Master Plan", which will be an important guide document for the ministry as well as for other institutions and organizations:

“Updating the Transport and Logistics Demand Forecasting Model; Establishing the infrastructure of the National Transportation Database in order to make fast and economical analyzes in the planning, monitoring and evaluation processes and analyzing the integrated operation of the transportation system with the logistics area in line with the 2023, 2029, 2035 and 2053 targets. In the workshop; It is also planned to evaluate the current situation by taking into account national, regional and city-scale socio-economic expectations, and to transform policy, measure and infrastructure project proposals suitable for target years into comprehensive action programs.”

In the statement, it was underlined that the outputs of the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, beyond responding to the changing needs in freight, people and data transportation, also aim to provide guidance for Turkey to become a global logistics superpower.

Minister Karaismailoğlu will attend the Common Mind Conference Vision Session

Right after the workshop, it was announced that the Common Mind Conference will be held with the participation of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu. On the first day of the Common Mind Conference, which was announced to be held on 10-11 July, it was stated that within the scope of the relationship between Transport and Logistics, Mobility and Digitalization, Changes and Trends in the World and Turkey regarding Logistics, Mobility and Digitalization will be discussed.

Minister Karaismailoğlu will make a presentation on the infrastructure investments and works of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and explain the Transport and Communications vision of the Ministry in the “Vision Session” to be held at 13.00 on the first day of the conference.
