Fıratcan, a subsidiary of Akfen GYO, TCDD Söğütlüçeşme High Speed Train Station Project continues.
PDP statement is as follows: Fıratcan İnşaat Turizm Ticaret A.Ş. (“Fıratcan”), 31.03.2021% of the shares have been acquired by our Company. Fıratcan has committed to TCDD the construction and subsequent operation of the Söğütlüçeşme High Speed Train Station Project (“Project”) under the terms of the contract. Within the scope of the project, a train station, a commercial area and a parking lot will be built.
This statement is made by us upon the news in the press and the questions received by our Company.
Fıratcan is the contractor of the Project, and the Project continues within the scope of the zoning plan (“Plan”) prepared by TCDD in accordance with the legal regulations and prepared by the TR Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Our company is not a party to a lawsuit filed regarding the Plan of the Project and there is no decision notified to us in this regard.
TCDD's process management will be essential in the event that the decision made by the administrative court becomes final after being discussed in the higher court or the execution of the Plan is suspended. The zoning plan and construction permits of the Project are still in effect and the Project is continuing.
In the agreement regarding the transfer of Fıratcan shares of our Company, this situation is also guaranteed, and our Company has the right to return the shares by paying the share price and expenses together with the interest. Fıratcan also has rights based on the contract signed with TCDD and legal regulations.
