Aliağa Municipality signed a cooperation protocol with the Vocational Qualification and Certification Center (MEYEMYBK) for citizens who want to have a Vocational Qualification Certificate. With the protocol, it is aimed to increase the qualified workforce as well as to contribute to employment in the region.

MEYEMYBK acts as a bridge between those who work in the professions of Aliağa Municipality Masonry, Construction Painter, Gypsum Plaster, Gypsum Plaster, Plasterer, Ceramic Tile Master, Heat Insulator, Construction Worker and Machinery Maintenance or those who want to have a Vocational Qualification Certificate in these categories.

Within the scope of the signed protocol, all citizens who want to have a professional qualification certificate in the determined professions will be able to apply to the Employment Office, which serves under the Aliağa Municipality Human Resources and Education Directorate, as of July 5, 2021. Citizens will be informed by SMS by MEYEMYBK after filling out the application form by choosing only one category and will be invited to the exam for the occupational group they prefer. No exam fee will be charged from the candidates who take the exam.

OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENT

According to the Vocational Qualifications Authority Law No. 5544, those who do not have a Vocational Qualification Certificate cannot be employed in 183 professions. In cases of work accidents, employers employing undocumented workers may face different legal sanctions.
