Number of Smart Junctions Increased to 101 in Şanlıurfa

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality has been producing solutions to the traffic jam experienced especially at the intersections, with the 'smart signaling system'. While it is aimed to prevent accidents with the smart signaling system established within the scope of the plan and program throughout the city and in the districts, time saving in traffic is also provided.

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, which aims to minimize the long vehicle queues that occur from time to time in the main arteries of the city, has so far installed smart signaling systems at 101 different intersections. Traffic flow became more fluid thanks to the intersections built in Bozova, Birecik, Ceylanpınar, Suruç and Viranşehir districts as well as the city center.

METROPOLITAN INCREASED THE NUMBER OF SMART INTERCHANGES FROM 66 TO 101

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, which has increased the number of signalized intersections from 66 throughout the city to 101, continues its efforts to produce permanent solutions to urban traffic with smart signaling systems. The teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, Intelligent Transportation Systems Branch Directorate will first make the necessary examinations at the junction, which will be transformed into a smart junction, and offer it to drivers and pedestrians.

Citizens, who stated that the works carried out prevented accidents to a significant extent, thanked everyone who contributed to the construction of smart intersections by conveying their observations.

LED LIGHTING SYSTEM IN UNDERPASSES

On the other hand, Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality continues the installation of LED lighting systems that flash in different colors within the scope of lighting works in underpasses. LED lighting systems installed in underpasses are more economical than conventional lighting systems. Since LED lighting systems will light up in underpasses during the day, drivers will be protected from partial blindness when transitioning to dark and bright environments.
