Manisa Governor's Office issued a written press statement about 2 PKK/PYD suspects detained in Turgutlu district. In the statement made by the governor's office; “Two PKK/PYD suspects detained in Turgutlu today have been apprehended as a result of intelligence studies conducted against terrorist organizations. Some media outlets publish news about this operation that the suspects of the forest fires have been caught. There is no information or finding that the persons detained as a result of the terrorist operation are related to the ongoing forest fires. it was said.
THE GENERAL MADE AN EXPLANATION
In the statement made by the Gendarmerie regarding the operation, the following statements were made: Information has been obtained that 2 members of the Syrian nationality, who are operating responsibly within the terrorist organization, came to the provinces of İzmir, Manisa and Bursa for the forest burning action, and that they would go abroad illegally after they carried out the forest burning action. The members of the organization in question were found to be in Manisa/Turgutlu and were caught as a result of a joint operation carried out in coordination with the İzmir MIT Regional Presidency, İzmir Provincial Security Directorate, Manisa Provincial Security Directorate and Manisa Provincial Directorate.
