İzmir hosts the CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship, where the best athletes under the age of 20 compete. The matches, which will continue until Sunday, July 11, at İnciraltı Beach Volleyball Center, can be watched from the stands in accordance with the social distance rules.

Having successfully hosted the BVA Balkan Championship, U18 and U22 European Championships and CEV Continental Cup in beach volleyball, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality opened its doors for the U20 European Championship this time. The giant championship organized by the Turkish Volleyball Federation, in cooperation with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Izmir Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, SWS Sports and Beach-It, under the sponsorship of Axa Sigorta, where the best athletes of Europe under the age of 20 compete, will continue until Sunday, July 11 .

CEV U29 Beach Volleyball European Championship, in which 64 athletes from 30 different countries for women and 64 athletes from 20 different countries for men compete, can be watched from the stands in Inciraltı Beach Volleyball Facilities in accordance with the social distance rules.
In the first matches of the day, the morning women's series was played. Naz Akyüz – Sanem Baş duo lost 2-1 to Ionna Perdikaki – Marira Antonakaki from Greece, and Irmak Gökçen – Ece Özdemir duo lost 2-0 to Anhelina Khmil – Tetiana Lazarenko from Ukraine.

Naz Akyüz – Sanem Baş and Irmak Gökçen – Ece Özdemir represented the duos for Turkey in the women's category, as well as Turkey, Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Norway, Greece, Slovakia, Croatia, Andorra, Russia, France, Serbia, Romania, Israel. Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine, Spain, Switzerland and Latvia take their places on the beach for the championship trophy.

Batuhan Kuru – Necmi Ayberk Güllük, Sacit Kurt – Ahmet Can Tür and Furkan Ramazan Kaplan – Bahadır Utku Kesgin represent Turkey in the men's U20 European Beach Volleyball Championship. In men, Turkey, as well as Sweden, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Latvia, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden. Israel, Austria, Ukraine, Czechia, Hungary, France, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Serbia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Croatia, Estonia and Liechtenstein are fighting.
