Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Istanbul Planning Agency has published the Istanbul Barometer 2021 June Report, which takes the pulse of Istanbulites. 71,1 percent of the participants stated that the people of Istanbul should decide on the Kanal Istanbul project, while 62,7 percent stated that there are more priority problems than the Kanal Istanbul project. While 41,5 percent say they do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19, 54 percent do not support the decision not to broadcast music after 12 pm. Istanbul's three constant problems were the possible Istanbul earthquake, economic problems and transportation.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Istanbul Planning Agency takes the pulse of Istanbul on many topics, from the domestic agenda of the people of Istanbul to their mood levels, from their economic preferences to their job satisfaction, with the Istanbul Barometer Survey. Istanbul Barometer June 2021 Report was prepared by telephone interviews with 26 Istanbul residents between June 9 and July 2021, 670. There are priority problems from Kanal Istanbul

The cost of the canal should be allocated to social assistance and earthquake fighting

Participants noted that the money to be spent on Kanal Istanbul should be allocated to more priority problems. While 24,9 percent stated that they were transferred to social assistance and 22,8 percent to the fight against earthquakes, these were followed by urban transformation and increasing employment areas.

54 percent do not support the decision not to broadcast music after 12 pm

54 percent of the participants stated that they did not support the decision not to broadcast music after 12 o'clock with the normalization, 37,2 percent supported it, and 8,8 percent stated that they had no opinion. While the rate of those aged 18-34 who did not support was 57 percent, it was 60 percent over the age of 61,6.

41,5% do not want to have the COVID-19 Vaccine.

Life Satisfaction: 4,6

While life satisfaction of the participants was 4,7 percent in May, it increased to 4,6 in June; the happiness rate decreased from 5 percent to 4,9 percent.

Istanbul's first three problems have not changed

The first three problems of Istanbul, as in the past months, were earthquake, economic problems and transportation. While 46,4 percent indicated possible Istanbul earthquake, 37 percent economic problems and 36,9 percent transportation, these were followed by the problem of immigrants and refugees.
