According to the information given by the National Space Administration of China, as of July 8, China's Zhurong spacecraft has traveled more than 54 meters during the 300 Martian days working on the surface of Mars. The spacecraft's navigation terrain camera monitors landforms daily along the way.
During the journey, surface radars, weather measurement devices and Mars magnetometers are operated. Compared to specific geomorphologies such as rocks and dunes, surface composition detectors and multispectral cameras are used to investigate.
On June 26 (42nd Martian day), Zhurong arrived at a dune field. According to the image, there are rocks of different sizes around it. Among them, the rock facing the spacecraft is about 0,34 meters wide.
On July 4 (50th Martian day), Zhurong went to the south side of the dune. According to the image, the dune is about 40 meters long, about 8 meters wide, and about 0,6 meters high.
