IMM European Side Road Maintenance Directorate, as a result of the examinations, determined that there was a lack of access road at the European exit of the tunnel. The road coming from Aksaray and Sirkeci was connected with the Bakırköy-Florya direction with the connection branch made to the Eurasia Exit Tunnel. With the built transit road, it was aimed to relieve the traffic congestion in Samatya.

3 thousand 250 tons of asphalt was poured

With the geometric arrangement made, a connection arm was made to the Eurasia exit of the tunnel. For the realization of the project, 3 thousand 250 tons of asphalt was poured. Approximately 300 meters of rainwater and 900 meters of guardrail were manufactured.

Samatya will be freed from being locked

As it is known, while the Eurasia Tunnel was being built, the connection of traffic from Sirkeci and Aksaray was made at the Samatya Underpass. This situation increased the traffic density in Samatya. Condensation on this route caused traffic jams up to Yenikapı.

Both the environment and the economy

Putting the link road into service will not only reduce the average time drivers spend in traffic. At the same time, it will cause less fuel consumption of vehicles and a decrease in polluted gases released into the air. It will contribute to the environment and economy. The traffic stress of the drivers using this route will be alleviated to a certain extent. In addition, noise pollution caused by traffic will decrease along this route.
