Continuing his success in real races after winning the championships in esports, Cem Bölükbaşı returned with a trophy from the Imola races in Italy of the Euroformula Open series, which made history as the first racing driver in the world to come from esports and win the first place in a Formula series.

After winning world championships in esports, young racing driver Cem Bölükbaşı, who has been pursuing a successful career professionally on real tracks for the last two seasons, continues his races in formula series with the aim of becoming Turkey's first Formula 2023 pilot in 1.

Cem Bölükbaşı, after the races he made his first appearance on the Hungaroring Hungary track on July 10-11 and made history as the first racing driver in the world to come from esports and win the first place in a Formula series, had successful races in the Imola leg of the Euroformula Open series.

Became one of the top 10 most successful pilots

The young racing driver completed the first of his races held on 24 – 25 July at the Euroformula Open Imola track in the 3rd place and went to the podium and won the third place cup. While Bölükbaşı finished the second race of the series 4th, he could not complete the last race due to an unfortunate accident.

After the Hungarian Hungaroring and Italy Imola races, Cem Bölükbaşı placed 73th in the Euroformula Open pilots' rankings with a total of 8 points and made his mark among the 10 most successful racers. Cem managed to get on the podium in 6 of the 3 races he participated in in two weeks.

Cem Bölükbaşı said, “After the historic victory in Hungary, I had a good racing experience in Italy. I've been on the podium in 6 of the 3 races I've participated in so far, I'm very happy. After that, I want to continue my races and my victories. I would like to thank all my supporters who stood by me," he said.

Cem Bölükbaşı became the third best rookie in the first Formula 2021 Asian Championship of his career in 3; He also finished second in his category in the 4-hour European Le Mans race he participated in for the first time. The successful young driver competes in the Euroformula Open with Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR), which has trained many legendary pilots such as Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, one of the leading names in Formula 1.
