Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower, which has the title of being the tallest structure in Europe and started to provide broadcasting services to more than 100 radio companies; Masdaf, the local and well-established brand of the Turkish pump industry, was preferred for heating-cooling circulation pumps, fire pumps, hydrophore and waste water pump groups.

Masdaf, the leading brand of the pump industry, continues to be the solution partner of prestigious projects. Making a difference in the sector with its highly efficient product range and engineering services, Masdaf is now located in the Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower, which is the tallest structure in Istanbul and Europe with its pump and booster systems.

The “Küçük Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower”, which was started to be built in March 2016 in order to gather the antennas and towers that create visual pollution in Istanbul Küçük Çamlıca, was put into service on 29 May.

Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower, which has a total height of 369 meters and consists of 49 floors, is expected to be among the symbols of Istanbul. The tower, which has a restaurant on the 39th and 40th floors, has two separate viewing terraces at 33 and 34 meters above sea level on the 366,5rd and 371th floors.

In Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower, which has started to provide broadcasting services to more than 100 radio companies, Masdaf's NFPA 20 compliant, split-bodied and double-suction fire pumps, Multihexa series frequency-controlled complete stainless steel domestic water booster, INM series circulation pumps and Enduro series wastewater pumps were preferred.

The fire safety of Küçük Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower will be ensured by Masdaf's UL listed FM approved “fire pumps” in compliance with NFPA20. Fire pumps commissioned by Masdaf will ensure the safety of the building by providing timely intervention against fire disasters that may occur during the life of the building.

With the inverter system used in pump and booster systems, communication between the pumps will be provided via RS 485 cable and 6 pumps will be able to work together with the option of multi-pump system. Remote access to the system will also be possible with the Modbus feature. In addition, instantaneously from the graphic LCD screen on the inverter; pressure, current, frequency, motor speed, output power, output voltage, set pressure values can be read. In this way, the total working hours of each of the pumps will be displayed and real-time co-aging will be provided.

GenIO On-Motor Frequency Inverters, used in the “Genio MultiHexa” series smart boosters that will meet the pressurized water requirement of the project, will ensure that the pumps operate more efficiently and the pressure is continuous in the system's variable flow consumption conditions. In addition, with the Mod-Bus communication protocol, instant access to the outdoor units will be provided and the advantage of control will be offered. Thus, with the smart pump technologies working in line with the needs of the system, both system efficiency and energy savings will be achieved in Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower.

Another Masdaf technology used in the project was “ENDURO Submersible Pumps”, which is known as an environmentally friendly technology and offers effective solutions in the transfer of polluted and waste water. Submersible pumps, which eliminate the odor, liquid leakage and clogging problems that may occur during the transportation of waste water, will offer high comfort and a long working life to the projects with their superior technology.

Innovative pump and booster systems commissioned by Masdaf will provide efficient use by saving energy consumption throughout the life of the building.
