The national electric train is coming to add power to the railway

There are only a few days left for the electric train, which is produced locally and nationally by Turkish engineers, to enter service. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who participated in the final test drive of the electric train produced at TÜRASAŞ Sakarya Factory, by teleconference method, started the test drive.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who made a series of visits in Sakarya and participated in the collective opening ceremony, started the final test drive of the National Electric Train with the teleconference method.

To the test drive of the national electric train; Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Republic of Turkey State Railways General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun, Republic of Turkey State Railways Transportation Inc. General Manager Hasan Pezük and TÜRASAŞ General Manager Mustafa Metin Yazar attended.

It will contribute to the development of fully domestic and nationally produced electric train rail systems. The National Electric Train Set, which is aimed to be exported to European Union countries as of 2023, is designed in TSI standards and its speed has been increased from 160 km/h to 200 km/h.
