The Catamaran Bought for the Cleaning of Beyşehir Lake was Launched into the Lake

Within the framework of the “Detection and Cleaning of Ghost Nets in Beyşehir Lake Cooperation Protocol” between the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Konya Metropolitan Municipality; 1 catamaran, which was provided with the support of the Ministry, was lowered into Beyşehir Lake to prevent pollution that may occur in the lake, to carry the necessary equipment and to be used in emergencies.

Within the scope of the signed protocol, the catamaran, which was provided with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, to the Beyşehir Lake program; Şarkikaraağaç District Governor Onur Yılmazer, Şarkikaraağaç Mayor İsa Çarkacı, Konya Provincial Director of Environment and Urbanization Hülya Şevik, Beyşehir Municipality Deputy Mayor Zeki Ağmaz and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Zero Waste Department Head Yaşar Kahraman attended.

Catamaran; It will be used to prevent pollution that may occur in the lake, to transport the resulting wastes, to transport and install the necessary equipment for investigations and researches, and to provide vital needs that may arise in the region in emergencies. Also; Evaluation of the ecological status of Beyşehir Lake and its basin, measurement and analysis within the scope of the water level-water quality monitoring stations project, and the cataraman will be used in the research and examinations to be carried out in the lake in the upcoming period.
